Welcome fellow friends to my concept of cool quotes where quotes are considered inspirational and authentic. Cool quotes, what are really cool quotes? To me cool quotes are quotes that help us remember to look at situations in a positive way and to always keep your head up. One of my favorite quotes is, "To succeed you've got to believe."If you don't believe in yourself you are never going to get that far. If you don't get far you don't have a future of success.
Many people use quotes that inspire them to achieve their goals. Some just have their favorite quote or quotes that represents who they are. Many of these quotes are quotes that we've all heard of and use in many occasions. For example, "You will not achieve anything if you don't try your best and put your mind into it." Cool quotes can mean different things to different people and it helps each person in a different way. Few of these many quotes are used at schools to constantly always remind use who we are as a community. Many cool quotes can be made up and still have a positive change in us.
I wonder if there are any other cool quotes that don't state always about succeeding in life, but quotes that say other messages that still bring a positive attitude. I will to learn more cool quotes that may aply to me and mean anthing to anyone. I want to know how many cool quotes are out there in the world? From all the quotes out there which ones seem to be used the most? Cool quotes I believe are used every day or almost everyday and that to me is a good thing. It is good beacuse it means that they will never be out from life's and will constantly be with us all our life's.

Dear Leslie,
I have read your welcome post and I really liked it. I enjoyed it and it relaxed me after reading all of the other posts. I don't know, but your writing stand out to the rest of the other posts. Leslie, I think that you are a good writer and being present in AP is the best choice. Nonetheless, in regards to your topic, I really think that this topic is very interesting and I hope you make it even better. Perhaps adding some spice and adequate style will make your topic even better. I hope you grow as a writer and pass the exam.
Your writing friend,
Joel
Leslie, why did you pick cool qoutes? doesn't have to be all fancy. What is your cool qoute to help you remember things?
I don't know why, but the phrase 'cool quotes' sounds sort of funny to me. Quotes really are about inspiration and looking ahead, but there are sometimes when you read a quote and it just makes you question things.
I believe that quotes are something that help spice up life and reading a bit. It shows that not only are you a person that reads, but you are a person that understands.
Leslie,
I think that you are a good writer but need just a little bit of improvement.
I do agree with you in the concept of your inspirational quote. In order to succeed you do need to believe in yourself because if you don't then who will? Well I hope to read more "cool quotes" from your blog because to me quotes are inspiring to help me do my best and gain success throughout my life.
Leslie!
You stole my topic, “survival of the fittest,” every man for himself, right? Its okay, no hard feelings, haha. I have you on my group and I am most grateful that I do. I was reading your blog and I was quite satisfied that you yourself, have a favorite quote. Check this out, Aristotle: “Excellence is not an act, but a habit,” by far my favorite quote on earth. I read this quote back when I was in the 7th grade and since I’ve lived my life according to this quote. It inspires me to do better, to know that I must be willing to do the work in order to receive my reward.
I’ve recently learned that nothing in this world is free. Everything we do, everything we’re given has a cost. Whether we choose to accept or not we will ultimately end up paying a price. What I like about quotes is that we are given an option to do with them as we’d like. You may take a take in a different approach that I may towards a quote and you know what the beauty of that is? That it doesn’t matter! We each choose to interpret quotes as we like and we each choose to use them to our own benefit.
“I want to know how many cool quotes are out there in the world? From all the quotes out there which ones seem to be used the most?” I want to know this too, let’s do it together! I challenge you to find one cool quote ever day share it with us, I would be more then happy to analyze it with you and get working with all the amazing quotes out there waiting to be revealed! Let’s get working!
Leslie,
You have a wide variety of quotes to choose from. You have hundreds of years of speeches, songs, poems, letters, and many other things from which you can get quotes. I hope you don't only talk about quotes that are positive though. there are many other quotes that can be used that can guide people through life and are also cool. A personal favorite of mine is, "You can plan a pretty picnic, but you can't predict the weather," from Outkast's song Ms. Jackson. I would like to tell you what this means to me but first could you tell me what it could mean for you?

Leslie,
Cool quotes do help us through tough situations. There are also quotes that will inspire us to do something different. Take the readings we just had, they contained many quotes by Churchill. They were about war but yet they still can have an impact on someones life. For example, I think it WAS in the reading, his quote "We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender" To me it brings a sort of keep fighting and don't give up, type of message but in a tougher way, except that maybe I wouldn't fight in France. Nonetheless I look forward to reading your future blog posts and finding some cool quotes
In response to your comment Leslie, I would actually like to become more of a song writer, but I wish to include actual strong messages within my songs. This in a way can be seen as giving a speech through song. Being a speech writer wouldn't be such a bad idea either, there are a lot of problems that need attention and I would like to bring attention to them, just like many... well all of the great speech writers throughout history brought attention to problems they thought were important.
Hi leslie its your best friend hernan lol. Well i agree on your view on quotes. Quotes are something that can work as an inspiration. I also think that quotes can make you really think about life and or a situation. Many quotes are really abstract and you fight to figure out the meaning. What i know about quotes is that they always have a meaning and a point.
Hello Leslie,
If you don't know my name, it's Estef or Steve or Julio with the H sound instead of the J. Anyways, i freakin like cool quotes. I was gonnna get your topic but it was taken. I got stuck with rhetorics of the u.s (comment mine). So, cool quotes for me don't always have to be inspirational, but i feel like they have to be true. I like inspirational quotes, but i love quotes that are so eye opening where a certain person just mixes up a phrase to completely change the meaning and make it seem so wow. I don't really have a favorite quote myself, but i guess one quote i really thought was unique was Bill Gate's quote. It went something like, flipping burgers isn't an underacheivement. My grandparents had a name for it. Opportunity.
“What kinds of things do you want for the unity in teens to do? What do you see our future becoming?”
Ah! I was dreadfully hoping that someone would play around with the above questions and I’m glad you did! Well, I’ve had the privilege of speaking to you as a member of my team and I hope that from what I’ve said to you, you’ve been able to perceive a little of what my personal views are. First I’d like to share with you what the word UNITY means to me. Unity is the act of becoming one, to come together and combine into a whole rather then many parts.
What I was for us teens to do is to become more social with one another. To create a welcoming environment that will allow us to become a whole. I walk around our school campus and I see “groups” hanging out. These groups tend to be composed of a certain criteria of people. I’ll use a general example, grade levels. We’re separated or we like to believe that the school is separated into different wings which mean that each grade level is supposed to revolve around that wing. I want for us to look beyond only our wing, to look onto our neighbor’s wing and become one with them. It is certain that a bird can only excel at flying when he has two wings, let us follow their example and fly high with two rather then one wing.
I look onto us as a selective group of young men and women who have been chosen to become the future of this nation. I’d love to tell you that our future will be bright and soothing. That we will never encounter problems and that we will live in a perfect society yet I can’t. Tough, challenging, and rewarding are the words I’d like to use to describe what our future will be like. Doesn’t sound too pretty does it? I’d tend to agree, but it is important that we realize that we can be that change. That we can contribute to the sculpting of a much easier life. We will definitely encounter obstacles in our life, however if we are united and willing to make sacrifices we will ultimately also become part of the reward.
I’d love to hear back from you, whether if it’s a question or a suggestion please know that I am open to listen.
Enjoy these cool quotes! Tell me what you think about them?
"One man can be a crucial ingredient on a team, but one man cannot make a team." -- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
"They say that nobody is perfect. Then they tell you practice makes perfect. I wish they'd make up their minds." -- Wilt Chamberlain
Sincerely,
Edwin Granados
Hello,
I have to say something. I WANTED YOUR TOPIC! Lucky butt.
I think the best quotes are those that earned their way to the top, for example, Bill Gates or Lance Armstrong. I guess what i am trying to say is, pick quotes from people that earn the right to say them. I think it kinda goes into ethos a bit. The speaker of the quote should build enough credibility to say it in order for it to have any meaning.
Gah, i doubt that really made sense, but aanyways, i enjoyed you blog and i can't wait to see what you come up with.

Dear Leslie,
Your welcome post was very interesting to me. I agree with you when you say that many people have their variety of quotes they identify themselves with; and as well with how people choose a certain quote to reach as if it’s their goal. I would like to know how about the quotes that make you look at things/ situations in a different perspective; or make you fell in a negative. I ask this question because I have come across many quotes that make me fell different; and not in a positive way. I would also like to suggest Spanish quotes, because there are many quotes that have a positive message, just as you are researching about.
Sincerely,
Masyeli M
Leslie -- laying around the school in various places are probably collections of famous quotes. Read them, if you find them, but don't stop there.
What I'm more interested in seeing you explore are the lesser-known great quotes: a line from a reading that stuck with you; words of wisdom or compassion when you did not expect them.
Once you find the quote you will write about, be sure to contextualize it: who said it? when? under what circumstances?
